Hi!
I have a question about readings and free will. Can a reading make us change our life course (or the person for whom we’re reading?) I know that we all have free will that I guess trumps what is ‘meant’ to happen? So, can doing your own reading or having a reading done potentially change ‘what is written’? (Or maybe then the reading was ‘meant’ to happen anyway?!) Shirley made a good point last night that there are different paths to where we’re going, so I guess this kind of fits in with this, too.
Also, when doing the year reading in class last night, I had a couple of cards fly out when I was shuffling. Do I also use these in my reading? If so, are these for the year in general?
Thanks again for this course, Sally. I’ve so enjoyed developing my intuition over the past six weeks, and I’ve really enjoyed hanging out with all of you โ you’re an ace group of women (it was a shame that Olga and Tiffany couldn’t make it last night). Hopefully, we can keep in touch or meet again ๐

Hi Susie
Great questions!
Yes, I believe a reading can inspire us to take another path or alter our current one somewhat. However, like I said yesterday, I believe (and have seen a gazillion times!), that some experiences in life are just ‘meant to be’. I usually describe this like a train track – there are certain junctions (life experiences/people you meet) you will have to pass through but you can choose which tracks to go down. Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter which tracks you take because they will all take you to specific junctions anyway!
A reading can sometimes provide us with the opportunity of fast tracking certain events in life/lessons in life if we choose to react in a different way because of that reading. This is why sometimes you may see your yearly readings skipping ahead by a month or two (or falling behind if you are not facing your life lessons!).
YES! If cards fly out of the pack when you are shuffling them, pay notice to them. They usually have a very powerful message. Sometimes these cards are all you need to answer the question! If you are shuffling the pack thinking of broader questions such as what the year holds for you, you will find the cards that fly out will give you either a general idea/energy of the year ahead, or they may be highlighting one of the most important things that will be happening for you (or the person you are reading for).
I hope this helps.
Let me know if it raises any other questions for you!

Thank you for your reply, Sally, that’s really helpful. And it makes perfect sense that we all somehow get to where we’re meant to be going eventually.
And I did write down the cards that flew out โ one of these was ‘The Emperor’ and I keep seeing the image of this card in my head so I guess this WAS the most important card for my year ahead ๐
Thanks again for all your help,
Susie
